At NORGANOID we are building a versatile high-throughput organ-on-chip platform and offer research services in the preclinical phases. To build the future of drug development and precision medicine we are looking for an Intern/ Master’s Student to join our team.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are offering an exciting Internship/Master’s Thesis opportunity focused on 3D Cell Culture and Organoid Research for 6 to 12 months. The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced scientists to support ongoing projects and explore novel approaches in organoid-based models. This position provides a unique opportunity for hands-on experience in cutting-edge cell biology research, with the potential to contribute to high-impact scientic discoveries.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the cultivation and maintenance of 3D cell cultures and organoids, including human-derived models.
  • Learn and apply various techniques for organoid growth, dierentiation, and analysis.
  • Participate in protocol optimization, including cell culture conditions, media formulations,and experimental setups.
  • Conduct assays such as immunohistochemistry, fluorescence microscopy, and molecular biology techniques as well as novel image acquisition techniques.
  • Support data collection, analysis, and interpretation of experimental results.
  • Collaborate with team members to solve technical challenges and develop innovative research approaches.
  • Contribute to scientific documentation and prepare reports or presentations for lab meetings and potential publications.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of cell culture techniques; prior experience with 3D cell culture or stem cell research is a plus.
  • Strong interest in organoid technology and its applications in biomedical research.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
